Antiquing at Aberfoyle

What a great day we had antique shopping at Aberfoyle.  Started right on schedule at 8:06 a.m.  It was the perfect day for being outdoors, a clear blue sky and a comfortable temperature.

We toured the various stalls until 11, when we stopped for an early lunch.  Stopped again at 2 for a cupcake and a lemonade and were all done (and completely worn out) by 3:30.

Mmm - the lemon cupcake was DELISH!
There were lots of chairs available:

Pretty in purple

vs. ugly bar stools

but not many of the sort I am looking for.  These were the closest. Could have had them for $20 a piece (set of 4) but 2 were damaged, one with a major slash in the vinyl on the seat.  I wasn't in love with them and the price was a lot than I was hoping to spend, so I didn't get them.  Hope to have better luck in 2 weeks time at the next sale.

Not that I came home empty handed. Oh no.  There were lots of treasures available.  More about that later.
