The Return of Gus and Beans

Sadly, the adoption of Gus and Beans (officially known as Aureus and Argenta on the Abbey Cats website) didn't work out.  If you think about it, pet adoption is kind of like a blind date - you just don't know if you're going to suit each other and/or get along for the long term.  So for the time being, they have come back to stay with me again (I insisted, as I don't think it makes sense to send them somewhere else until another adoption opportunity comes along for them) and I'm happy to have them here.  So far, they seem glad to be here and a little nervous and unsettled at the same time (just arrived back this morning).  We'll see how it goes as they get used to being here again.  Katrina and Maggie appear slightly confused as well - "Um, Mom, didn't they move out? And now they're back? Eating our food and sleeping on our bed??".  I'm sure they will all be fine eventually.  In the meantime, lots of pets and cuddles all around so each cat knows they are loved and welcomed.

Oh what a shame it didn't work out - it's a good thing that I live in BC, and have 3 dogs!

Oh, the poor, dear babies. They are so lucky to have you to return to.

What ever happened to Gus and Beans?
Did they eventually find a home?

Yes, Lydia, they did! A very nice lady and her grown up son came to take them home one day and they are now all living happily ever after. You can read an update here:
