Happy April Fool's Day

It's not really known how the tradition started but this day is celebrated around the world by people pulling pranks and practical jokes on each other. For example, in 1998, Burger King introduced the "left-handed Whopper" which supposedly had the toppings arranged to leak out of the right side instead of the left (sounds like the Shreddies commercial that is running now, asking people if they prefer the classic cereal to be square shared or diamond shaped). One year, the BBC announced that the clock faces of Big Ben were going to switch to digital time instead of the traditional dial and the hands of the clock would be given to the next 2 people to call in.

I didn't think I'd fallen for any such prank today, until I commented on a story link Kate McKinnon posted on her Facebook page, about a woman who claimed she didn't find Neil Gaiman (the author of "American Gods", "Coraline" and various other spooky novels) sexy. What??? I simply could not believe this to be true, because he is seriously sexy to look at and if you ever have the chance to hear him speak, do it, because let me tell you, his English accent is seriously dreamy (very much like Alan Rickman, who is also yummy to look at and listen to!)

Kate had to tell me it was an April Fool's story. Thank goodness! The world is not big enough for that kind of crazy!!
