Escape into the Clouds

On such an unsettling day in Toronto - one in which we have witnessed violent protesters, burning police cars, smashed windows, police in full riot gear, tear gas - I feel the need to escape into the clouds and think of more peaceful times.

I took these photos last Saturday night as the sun was starting to set. My sister was driving and I made her stop the car so I could take these first few shots:

Then, as we drove along, I could see these amazing cloud formations in the side rear view window and took this shot out the window as we drove along:

I hope tomorrow will be a more peaceful day in our fair city.
