Mixed Media Art Sampler

For the next two days, my friend Heather and I will be taking a class with Misty Mawn.  Here's how she describes what we'll be doing in class:  "Do you often wish you could try a little of this, a little of that, and still have room for a little more of what you loved the most? Well here is an art class offering just that. A little drawing, a little painting, a little stamp carving, a little journaling, a little layering, and a lot of exploring. This will be a two day mixed media art sampler class for all levels. I will cover many different ways to fire up your muse, dive into your work, and be creative with one and many mediums. I will demonstrate how to draw freehand, paint with acrylics, create image transfers using your own photos, layering collage and incorporate it into your paintings, carve beautiful stamps to use in your work, and more. Come join in the fun!"

This should be a fun class.  I'm excited about the idea of doing two whole days.  Usually you're just starting to get into the groove by the time the first day ends.  This way, we'll be able to carry on creating on day 2.

May has arrived, can you believe it? I wonder if spring will come to Ontario this month? Hope so!!
